08 Sep 2011

ANT (LSE AIM: ANTP), an established provider of software and services for the delivery of digital TV, will be showcasing a range of new demonstrations on stand 4.C98 at the IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) show in Amsterdam which runs from 9 to 13 September 2011.

ANT Galio Move
Visitors to the IBC show will have the opportunity to see ANT's recently launched companion device application for the first time. ANT Galio Move enables consumers to stream live and recorded TV direct to companion devices such as the Apple iPad anywhere in the home using a WiFi connection. Without disrupting the main TV viewing experience, users can navigate the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide), manage recordings and change channel using a natural, rapid and intuitive touch screen device.

HbbTV set-top-box and portal services
As a founding member, ANT remains active within the HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) consortium which is currently being deployed into the German Free-to-air market and has also been selected by the French government regulatory body for TV, the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel (CSA) with French HbbTV services expected to launch in the coming months. ANT will be showing a new HbbTV set-top box with additional portal services at IBC.

ANT Galio enabled HTML Rovi TotalGuide™
Rovi and ANT have joined forces to demonstrate how an HTML version of Rovi TotalGuide™ can be deployed on HbbTV-compatible consumer electronics devices via the ANT Galio platform. The ANT Galio platform in combination with Rovi TotalGuide enables users to view extended programming information on TV shows and movies.

Applications such as Flickr and Twitter on a Freesat set-top-box
ANT will be showing a Freesat set-top box with a range of TV applications including Flickr and Twitter all built using the ANT Galio Platform, ANT's globally deployed, mature, software solution.

Simon Woodward, CEO of ANT commented "IBC is a key show in the industry calendar and an ideal platform to showcase our new range of products and capabilities including ANT Galio Move which has created a buzz among our existing and target customers.
